March 17-18, 2025 Exponential Pre-Conference on "Multiethnic Church Planting"

March 17, 1-5pm & March 18, 8-11:30am. Speakers include: Soong-Chan Rah, Liz Rios, Lori Ruffin, Len Tang, Corey Lee, Mozart Dixon, Larry Acosta, Chris Brooks

Planting multiethnic churches isn’t a fad; it’s the future. It’s not simply the rapid shift in demographics, with no majority ethnicity in the U.S. by 2044. It’s that in order to demonstrate the gospel’s credibility to a culture increasingly torn apart by racial division, we need churches planted or co-planted by diverse leaders who are modeling genuine sharing of power, deep commitment to racial justice, and missional and evangelistic impact in their communities.

So we need to dramatically increase the number of church planters of color and to holistically support them, as well as train majority culture planters to become culturally competent and aware of their power. Towards that end, this pre-conference is led by church planting leaders of color.
During our time together, we’ll gather a community of practitioners who are able to:

recognize the urgency to plant multiethnic churches
form the inner life and missional competencies of multiethnic planters
integrate justice and evangelism in multiethnic church plants
build partnerships to provide funding and support in the journey

About the Multiethnic Collaborative

This is a group of church planting leaders who are:

Leading regional or national church planting efforts
Building relational trust, unity, and open-handedness
Passionate about both justice and evangelism
Committed to younger planters of color

Some initial goals include:

Meeting quarterly for mutual support (in January, March at Exponential, May, September)
Creating training content for multiethnic cohorts
Mentoring and raising funds for planters of color
