The Fuller Church Planting Initiative prioritizes multiethnic church planting, which we define to include immigrant church planting, ethnic-specific church planting, and multiracial church planting. Below you'll learn about the Multiethnic Collaborative, the ethnic-specific resources we're creating, and the gatherings we're hosting.
Multiethnic Collaborative
FCPI convenes the Multiethnic Church Planting Collaborative, a diverse group of leaders seeking to raise up the next generation of planters of color. We meet quarterly online or in person to discuss how to support, equip, and fund multiethnic planters. We also host Black and Latino church planting summits.
Latino Church Planting
Explore resources for Latino Church Planting that highlight the unique experiences, challenges, and opportunities of Latino leaders and communities. Through shared wisdom, training, and contextual tools, we seek to empower church planters to cultivate healthy churches that faithfully reflect God’s mission. Join the conversation by sharing additional resources or exploring the materials available in English and Spanish.
Empowering Latino Planters
This course and cohort enables Latino church planters to bring their whole selves into the work of planting and nurturing churches that faithfully reflect God’s mission within their cultural contexts.
Certificado en Plantación de Iglesias (Spanish Church Planting Certificate)
This Spanish-language version of our Church Planting Certificate is a year-long cohort that planters can join individually, or networks can run their own cohort. It was translated and contextualized by a diverse team of Latino leaders.
2026 Latino Church Planting Summit
On May 1-2, 2026, we hosted the inaugural Latino Church Planting Summit in Houston as part of the Exponential Español conference. We had a wonderful time connecting with and equipping 2nd and 3rd generation English-speaking Latino planters.
Black Church Planting
FCPI seeks to cultivate a flourishing, sustainable ecosystem that equips and empowers Black church planters across diverse contexts. Rooted in the legacy of the Black Church, we foster healthy, adaptive communities that evolve with their context, build cross-cultural partnerships, and create enduring pathways for new expressions of church to thrive for generations.
Empowering Black Planters
In summer 2026, we launched the "Empowering Black Planters" course and three-month cohort, designed to acknowledge and address the unique contexts that Black church planters face.
Black Church Planting Certificate
The Black Church Planting Certificate cohort, led by our own Corey Lee, starts in Fall 2026 and uses our normal year-long Church Planting Certificate to focus on planting Black churches.
Black Church Planting Collaborative
The Black Church Planting Collaborative cultivates a flourishing, self-sustaining ecosystem that equips and empowers Black church planters across diverse contexts through coaching, assessment, training, and resources.
Multiethnic Track Resources
