Multiethnic Church Planting

Empowering multiracial and ethnic-specific church planting

Multiethnic Church Planting is a specific focus of the Fuller Church Planting Initiative. We understand Multiethnic Church Planting to encompass immigrant, ethnic-specific, and multiracial church planting. Below you'll learn about the Multiethnic Collaborative, the ethnic-specific resources we're creating, and the gatherings we're hosting.

Multiethnic Collaborative

The Multiethnic Church Planting Collaborative is a group of leaders seeking to raise up the next generation of planters of color. We meet quarterly either online or in person to discuss how to support, equip, and fund multiethnic planters. We also plan ethnic specific summit gatherings as shown below.

Empowering Latino Planters

Join us on a journey designed to empower Latino church planters to bring their whole selves into the work of planting and nurturing churches that faithfully reflect God’s mission within their cultural contexts. Grounded in interdisciplinary research—including interviews with experienced practitioners, engagement with Latino Christian literature, and theological reflection—this course centers Latino voices and lived experience in the faithful work of church planting.

Certificado en Plantación de Iglesias (Spanish Church Planting Certificate)

The Spanish Church Planting Certificate is a year-long cohort; you can join as an individual, or Networks can run their own cohort. The Spanish Church Planting Certificate has been translated and contextualized by a team of Latinos from North and South America.

Empowering Black Planters

In summer 2026, we are launching the "Empowering Black Planters" course and three-month cohort, designed to acknowledge and address the unique contexts that Black church planters face.

Black Church Planting Certificate Cohort

The Black Church Planting Certificate cohort starts in Fall 2026 and uses our normal year-long Church Planting Certificate to focus on planting Black churches.
